Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the Israeli occupation targeted the al-Shifa Medical Complex square in western Gaza, including an apartment in its vicinity, causing several injuries among civilians.

The director of al-Shifa Medical Complex confirmed that at least six people were killed as a result of the Israeli bombing.

It is noteworthy that the Complex accommodates approximately 50,000 displaced people who have sought refuge due to the continuous Israeli bombardment in various areas in northern Gaza and eastern Gaza City.

In the same context, the Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed that the Israeli occupation directly targeted al-Rantisi Specialized Children's Hospital, causing a fire inside it.

In a statement, the Government Media Office in Gaza indicated that the Israeli targeting of al-Rantisi Children's Hospital and, hours earlier, the Indonesian Hospital with multiple intense airstrikes, and prior to that, several other hospitals, is considered a crime in violation of international law, reflecting the brutality of the Israeli occupation.

It mentioned that the US administration and President Joe Biden personally encouraged the Israeli occupation to target hospitals in Gaza, adding that the US administration provides the Israeli occupation with political, military, and financial support and maintains clear silence on its daily crimes.

Hamas hails Arab Summit, calls for sanctions on 'Israel'

Earlier on Thursday, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the Israeli occupation bombed al-Nasr Children's Hospital in Gaza City and al-Aqsa Medical Clinic in the town of Bani Suheila in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, noting that ambulance vehicles have been unable to reach the area due to the intense Israeli bombing.

Our correspondent also confirmed that dozens of displaced people were killed and injured at the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza after its vicinity was bombed with 11 Israeli rockets.

Last week, a hundred Israeli doctors signed a petition calling for the destruction of al-Shifa hospital in the Gaza Strip, as the Israeli occupation embarks on that exact journey.

The petition, titled "Doctors for the rights of [Israeli] soldiers," calls for the bombing of a Palestinian hospital housing thousands of refugees who are seeking shelter there because, generally, bombing hospitals is not allowed under international law, though "Israel" has proven time and time again that it has no regard for such stipulations.

The Israeli doctors see that Palestinian hospitals have become a legitimate target for the Israeli occupation forces, upholding the narrative that Palestinian Resistance groups are using hospitals for protection.

The statement from the Israeli doctors came a couple of days after the Israeli occupation targeted a convoy of ambulances transporting wounded people from al-Shifa Hospital to the southern border crossing with Egypt at Rafah, in preparation for transferring them outside the Gaza Strip for medical treatment. This resulted in the martyrdom of 15 people and the injury of 60 others.

The Israeli occupation previously committed a massacre by bombing the al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza, resulting in the martyrdom of more than 500 people and the injury of several others.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed that 10,818 people have been killed and 26,905 were injured since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Strip on October 7.
