Palestinian media reported on Saturday that a number of Palestinians were wounded by Israeli occupation gunfire in Aqabat Jaber camp in Areeha, adding that Resistance fighters are confronting occupation forces besieging a house in the area.

Confrontations between the Israeli occupation forces and Palestinian youths at the entrance to Aqabat Jaber continue, as the occupation imposes a siege on the camp for the seventh day in a row.

A few days ago, Israeli occupation forces reported an alleged shooting attack near a restaurant at the "Almog Junction" near Areeha in the occupied West Bank.

The occupation indicated that its forces began sweeping the area in search of the shooter who withdrew from the scene in a car without causing any injuries.

It also cited occupation military sources as saying that three attempts to carry out operations in the West Bank were recorded within three hours.

On Friday evening, Israeli occupation forces fatally shot 25-year-old Abdullah Qalalweh near the town of Hawara, south of the city of Nablus, over an alleged attack, bringing up the number of Palestinian martyrs since the beginning of 2023 to 36, including eight children and an elderly woman.

Abdullah Samih Qalalweh is the 36th Palestinian to be killed by Israeli occupation forces since the beginning of the year.

An Israeli Channel 14 correspondent claimed that Qalalweh "got out of a taxi near the Shomoron Brigade square at the southern entrance of Nablus, attacked a soldier, and he was fired upon."

However, The Times of "Israel" military affairs correspondent, Itay Blumental, said the Palestinian youth was unarmed and died after sustaining critical wounds.
