The election of a new secretary-general for Hezbollah reflects the strength and power of the Resistance Front in overcoming crises, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, pointed out.

He stressed that the Islamic Ummah is confident that Sheikh Naim Qassem is a courageous leader who will lead Hezbollah with strength and resilience, and will preserve "the grandeur of this heroic party."

According to Bagheri, Sheikh Qassem’s election as secretary-general will reinforce the historic and exceptional will of the Resistance and Hezbollah’s fighters, and will accelerate the collapse of the Zionist entity.

Today, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, #Hezbollah, has appointed a new Secretary-General.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed confidence that Sheikh Qassem is a worthy successor to the martyred Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

He indicated that Hezbollah is restructuring itself, which is evident in the nature of its resistance and the blows it has delivered to the Israeli occupation entity in recent days.

Hezbollah's Shura Council announced that it had elected Sheikh Naim Qassem as the party's Secretary-General, succeeding Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. This decision, "grounded in the principles of true Islam and the steadfast ideals of Hezbollah, follows the party's established procedures for selecting the Secretary-General," according to Hezbollah's statement.

Hezbollah expressed its commitment to upholding the legacy of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, describing the election as part of a sacred mission. "We pledge to God Almighty, to the soul of our beloved martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah [may God be pleased with him], to the martyrs, to the Islamic resistance fighters, and to our resilient and loyal people, to work together to fulfil Hezbollah's principles and goals."

The Resistance movement emphasized the organization's dedication to carrying forward the cause of resistance. The Shura Council expressed its hope for Sheikh Qassem's success in leading Hezbollah, entrusting him with the responsibility of preserving the movement's resistance and raising its banner until victory.
