Situation in 'Israel' worse than during 1973 war: Israeli official
An Israeli security official admits that the situation in "Israel" today is worse than it was during the 1973 October war.
The Israeli occupation today is going through a situation more dire than the 1973 October war, and it is very similar to the start of 1948, i.e., before the establishment of an "Israel" on Palestinian soil, Israeli media reported on Monday, citing an Israeli security official.
The Israeli Maariv newspaper, meanwhile, reported that the Israeli occupation was going through an existential crisis where the political, military, and security "red lines" were crossed. What happened thus far was just a wake-up call in a battle that "Israel" was dragged into.
According to Haaretz, the failure that "Israel" met in light of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood was much more resounding than the blunder that led to the 1973 October war.
"Israel" is going through the roughest time in its history, Israeli occupation President Isaac Herzog said on Tuesday in light of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
The families of the Israelis who were taken captive by Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, warned Herzog that if those captured are not returned, they will "shake Israel to the core if it calls for it, and they will not allow for them to be left in Gaza."
Israeli officials are still exchanging the blame for the capturing operations that took place, holding Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accountable for the blunder that took place and led to Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
"Hamas is waging psyops against Israel to pressure the decision-makers," Israeli Channel 12 military affairs correspondent Nir Dvori said.
"Israel was surprised with how all of its operational plans laid aside for Gaza became obsolete, and therefore, it is reformulating its plans and putting them up for approval", Dvori said, with a full-on bureaucratic process taking place before any plan is implemented.
"If we look at how the Americans are moving and their visits, we can see that Israel is trying to focus on Gaza without slipping into other fronts," the Israeli journalist said.

US intervening in decision-making
The United States asked the Israeli occupation to focus on Gaza and leave them to deal with Hezbollah, Israeli media reported on Thursday amid stark tension within "Israel" with Gaza and with Lebanon.
The Americans "told us 'leave Lebanon up to us. We are here. You focus on Gaza and do what you must there, and we have your back. If Hezbollah starts engaging you from Lebanon, we will take care of them'," Israeli Channel 13 military affairs correspondent Alon Ben David said last week.
"It seems that the US is affecting Israeli decision-making or they are seeking to offer a solution to the Israeli floundering," he said.
Furthermore, the Israeli journalist asked whether the Israeli occupation forces should conduct a preliminary operation against Hezbollah in the North. "There are many voices in the army who are saying we are ready to do so more than ever with unparalleled support from the US."
"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to threaten Hezbollah and work in Gaza without being concerned about another front opening up against us," he underlined.
