Six Palestinian civilians were martyred, and nearly 20 others were injured in the past 24 hours as a result of a series of attacks carried out by the Israeli occupation forces across various areas of the Gaza Strip, including locations both near and far from the so-called "Yellow Line."
The Civil Defense reported that its teams removed the bodies of two martyrs and rescued 15 wounded after artillery shelling targeted the home of the al-Sakhni family near al-Sanafor junction in al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City. Additional injuries were reported after another attack targeted the al-Daraj school in the same neighborhood.
Earlier on Tuesday, a civilian was martyred by Israeli gunfire in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, also east of Gaza City. The Israeli occupation forces also detonated several homes in the al-Tuffah and al-Shuja’iya neighborhoods, and destroyed houses in Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip. Another civilian was martyred by occupation gunfire east of al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
The Civil Defense also recovered the bodies of 12 martyrs killed earlier during the aggression, whose retrieval had been delayed for days. The operation is part of an ongoing recovery effort in al-Maghazi camp, supported by the Red Cross.
Israeli artillery also targeted eastern areas of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. Additionally, the occupation air force carried out four raids at dawn on Wednesday in southeast Khan Younis, and a fifth strike targeted Rafah.
Meanwhile, the Government Media Office in Gaza announced Tuesday that the number of journalists martyred since the start of the genocide war on Gaza has risen to 257, following the killing of photojournalist Mahmoud Wadi, who had worked with several local and international media outlets.
