Soleimani's impact on Al-Aqsa Flood can't go unnoticed: Hamas official
Officials have spoken at an event commemorating the life work of the late al-Quds Force commander martyr Qassem Soleimani.
Senior figures from the Axis of Resistance spoke during an event held in memory of al-Quds Martyr Qassem Soleimani, highlighting the role of the late leader in advancing the military capabilities of the Resistance.
Member of Hamas' political bureau and senior representative of the movement in Lebanon, Osama Hamdan, said that the role, action, and impact that martyr Soleimani had on the ongoing developments of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood can never go unnoticed. The official also pointed to the role of those who worked alongside him to advance the capabilities of the Resistance, including comrades and subordinates.
The late leader of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps' al-Quds Force dedicated his life's work to supporting Resistance factions across West Asia, ensuring their steadfast resilience in the face of Israeli occupation forces, US-backed wars, and a wave of terrorism that flooded Iraq and Syria.
The late leader was assassinated via an American drone strike which also led to the martyrdom of Iraqi Resistance leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and several other comrades, on January 3, 2020.
On that note, Hamas' Hamdan stressed that martyr Soleimani "carried the Palestinian cause" to every battlefront he commanded or worked in.
The senior official affirmed that the Palestinian Resistance is leading the ongoing battle with full confidence for the 87th consecutive day, both politically and militarily.
Hamdan said the initiative taken by the Resistance on October 7 did not only concern the Gaza Strip, but as he explained, it came in line with a national liberation agenda in West Asia, which has been felt in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq.
'Israel': A threat to the region
Hamdan's address was followed by that of Iran's Ambassador to Lebanon, Mujtaba Amani, who revealed that Tehran had been contacted by multiple American and European officials and diplomats, who urged the country to limit the scope of confrontations, resulting from the war on Gaza.
The latest was a call initiated by British Foreign Affairs Minister, David Cameroon, who contacted Tehran to deliver such a message, to which Iran firmly responded, "[Your governments] are responsible for the expansion of this war," Amani said.
The diplomat pointed to Israeli actions around the Gaza Strip, which confirm the threat that the Israeli regime poses to the entire region. On the other hand, he emphasized the deep potential impact of the ongoing battle, saying that it has the potential to change the world's status quo, hoping that an era where the oppressed triumph over the oppressors would be set into motion.
This year's anniversary of the horrific American assassination of Resistance leaders was preceded by the Israeli occupation's assassination of IRGC advisor to Syria and senior official martyr Razi Mousavi, who was martyred in Damascus earlier in December.
In this context, the Iranian Ambassador confirmed that martyr Mousavi joined his companion, Qassem Soleimani, in the fight against rapidly spreading terrorist organizations in Iraq and the Levant. Mousavi also played an important role in supporting Islamic Resistance movements across the region, not to mention the efforts he put in to support the Palestinian people.
