Sydney protests demand action on Netanyahu's ICC warrant
People of all ages have come together in Sydney to express their concerns about the situation in Gaza and Lebanon.
In Sydney, weekly protests have been organized to call on the Australian government to take action on the ongoing crises in Gaza and Lebanon. These demonstrations have gained traction, particularly after the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Every Sunday, people of all ages come together in Sydney to express their concerns about the situation in Gaza and Lebanon, marching through the streets and chanting slogans like "While you're shopping, bombs are dropping," urging Australians to consider the destruction unfolding abroad.
The protests have gained widespread support for the Palestinian cause, with momentum building across the country. In light of the ICC's warrant, protesters are calling for the Australian government, a signatory to the Rome Statute, to take stronger action.

Protesters stress that the Israeli actions are part of a systematic campaign of massacres designed to expand its territory and assert regional dominance. They argue that the violence is a deliberate effort to forcibly displace Palestinians and erase their cultural identity from their homeland.
Global outpouring of support for Gaza
A number of Jewish Australians also participate in these weekly protests, distancing themselves from Zionism. They stress that their support is grounded in a collective commitment to human rights and justice, rejecting the notion that the struggle is inherently divisive between Jews and Palestinians.
The global outpouring of support for the Palestinian cause shows no sign of slowing down, as "Israel" persists in its violent actions in Gaza.
Since October 2023, nearly 50,000 people, including men, women, and children, have been killed in Israeli airstrikes, with no end in sight to the escalating aggression.
The ICC's arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu underscores a growing shift in global awareness, driven by widespread protests around the world.
