Syria, Belarus hail joint cooperation in battle against economic war

Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko marked a significant milestone in their countries' relations as they exchanged heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Syrian-Belarusian diplomatic relations over a phone call, SANA reported. 

The exchange of warm messages underscored the commitment to further enhance bilateral cooperation.

President Al-Assad reiterated Syria's strong desire to strengthen ties with Belarus, expressing optimism about the prospects of their relationship.

"We are confident that relations are going to witness more progress and development, and bilateral cooperation will gain more success thanks to the joint work between institutions in both countries," President Al-Assad said, emphasizing the shared principles and values that underpin the solid friendship between Syria and Belarus.

Furthermore, President Al-Assad highlighted the role of joint cooperation as a means to combat the economic challenges both nations face. 

"Joint cooperation is one of the tools through which countries would boost their battle in the face of the economic war which both states are exposed to."

Reciprocally, President Lukashenko extended his warm sentiments, affirming that the relations between Syria and Belarus have evolved dynamically over the years characterizing it by friendship and trust.

In a significant display of solidarity, President Lukashenko emphasized Belarus' unwavering support for Syria, particularly during times of adversity.

"Belarus has always stood by Syria during the difficult times," he asserted, underlining his nation's continuous commitment to aiding the Syrian people.

Furthermore, President Lukashenko expressed his confidence in the ability of both nations to overcome challenges in this new era. He reaffirmed his commitment to fostering fruitful cooperation across bilateral and international levels.

"I am confident that our countries will successfully confront the challenges of the new era, and we will continue fruitful cooperation on the bilateral and international levels."
