Syria condemns West's information campaign against Russia
Syria's Foreign Minister says his country condemns the information campaign launched by Western states against Russia, while Russia condemned "Israel's" strikes against Syria.
Syria has condemned the information campaign being waged by the West against Russia and is siding with Moscow in the current standoff between NATO and Russia.
Following a meeting with Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad said, "We condemn the lies and information terrorism against Russia that Western countries have undertaken in recent days and weeks to demonize the Russian Federation, and we support Moscow's efforts to address the problems that have arisen."

Such actions undermine international agreements and lead to warmongering, Mekdad said.
Lavrov: Russia condemns Israeli strikes against Syria
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov declared his country's condemnation of "Israel's" airstrikes on Syrian territory, adding that they could escalate tensions in the region.
"I mean the ongoing Israeli strikes against targets on Syrian territory. We strongly condemn such actions," he said, following the meeting with the Syrian Foreign Minister, further adding that such actions violate the UN Security Council's resolution, and can provoke a sharp escalation in the entire region.
