Syria demands foreign forces withdrawal, condemns US military operations
The Syrian foreign ministry reiterates its condemnation of the ongoing military operations in Al-Hasakah between ISIS and SDF forces.
The Syrian foreign ministry reiterated its condemnation of the ongoing military operations that have "led to the displacement of thousands of Syrian civilians in Al-Hasakah governorate and the increase of their suffering."
The ministry also demanded that the US forces withdraw from Syria's northeast and the Turkish forces from its northwest.
ISIS had expanded its presence Al-Hasakah, and about 100 ISIS fighters are seeking to expand their control points in the region.
About 1,100 families have been displaced from the southern neighborhoods towards Syrian army-controlled areas in Al-Hasakah as a result of the recent security developments.
Since Thursday, the International Coalition aircraft have targeted several locations in the city, as the US occupation forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) armed groups brought in military reinforcements, in an attempt to regain control of the region.
The deputy commander of the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria, Admiral Oleg Zhuravlev, announced that a number of terrorists escaped a prison in the city of Al-Hasakah, which is under Kurdish control, as a result of an attack on it.
ِAl Mayadeen sources indicate that ISIS has taken control of the majority of the prison, and the terrorist group is currently trying to break out more terrorists.
