Syria: 10 Oil Workers Martyred in Bus Attack
A field source has told Al Mayadeen Net that an attack targeted a bus carrying oil workers upon their return from work, killing at least ten.
A field source confirmed to Al Mayadeen Net that a bus carrying workers of the Kharata oil field came under direct fire from an armed group believed to be ISIS-affiliated, resulting in the martyrdom of 10 workers and the injury of others.
The source pointed out that the attack took place near the Ain Jumaa area in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, upon the return of workers from the field heading to the city of Deir Ezzor.
ISIS cells are active in many countryside areas that the Syrian army and its allies have regained control over, amid ongoing sweeping operations in the area.
The Syrian government has repeatedly accused the United States of transferring terrorists from prisons located in the SDF-controlled areas toward the Syrian Desert to revive the organization and undermine security and stability in the areas under the Syrian army's control.
