Syria: Clashes between Turkish-Backed Forces and KDF North of Al-Raqqa
Turkish forces shell the Syrian town of al-Dabas with heavy artillery, and heavy clashes erupt between Turkey-backed "Syrian National Army" forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces north of al-Raqqa.
Heavy clashes erupted in Syria between the "Syrian Democratic Forces" (SDF) and the so-called "al-Jaysh al-Watani" (i.e Turkey-backed Syrian National Army) militia in the town of Ain Issa north of al-Raqqa Province. Local sources stated that the Turkish forces shelled the Syrian town of al-Dabas.
Sources have also confirmed that groups of armed militants left the Hawar Kilis border crossing northeast of Aleppo toward Turkey and headed to the al-Raqqa and al-Hasaka countrysides.
The SDF had begun to arrest a number of young men from al-Hasaka for forced recruitment, informed sources told Al Mayadeen.
Lately, SDF announced that 3 of its fighters were killed by a drone attack that targeted the city of Ain al-Arab (i.e. Kobani) in Aleppo Province, north of Syria.
SDF also announced in mid-October that Turkey is clearly backing terrorism and that the ground for secession is being paved, with ongoing efforts to undermine any possibility for resolution in Syria, which poses a great danger to the future of the Syrian people.
On October 9, SDF patrols launched a wide arrest campaign in al-Hasaka's northeastern countryside.
