Syria: ISIS leader killed in Daraa
Local Syrian media report the killing of the military commander of ISIS, called Abu Salem Al-Iraqi, during a special operation in the countryside of Daraa.
SANA, citing a security source, reported that Special Forces carried out an operation during which the terrorist leader of ISIS in the south, Abu Salem Al-Iraqi, was killed.
The operation resulted in the death of a security member and the injury of a civilian who had been kidnapped by the terrorist, as per the report.
Another army unit conducted a second special operation against a terrorist group of 25 different nationalities that attempted to infiltrate from Al-Nayrab region into Joubas village in Idlib's eastern countryside, according to SANA.
Abu Salem Al-Iraqi was killed after he blew himself up with an explosive belt when he was surrounded by the Special Forces.

It is worth noting that the Syrian forces managed to withdraw a number of bodies, confiscated weapons, and dismantled explosive belts, which were in the possession of the terrorists, SANA reported.
