Al-Shaitat clan: It was the Syrian army that supported us against ISIS.
The Syrian al-Shaitat clan published a declaration rejecting US claims that the US army supported the clans in their liberation from "ISIS."
In details, the al-Shaitat clan, one of the clans of the Arab Aqeedat tribe in Syrian governorate Deir Ezzor, announced in a video statement their rejection of the allegations made by leaders of the "SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces)" and the US army, which they announced as part of the celebrations of the seventh anniversary of the al-Shaitat massacre.
In its statement, the al-Shaitat affirmed that no one supported them except the Syrian army, rejecting the allegations made by the "SDF" and the US army at the commemoration of the al-Shaitat massacre in which ISIS slaughtered hundreds of members of the clan.
Video statements reject what happened during the ceremony, which was considered "a false act by the US occupiers and its agents," as said by a group of dignitaries from the al-Shaitat clan and the Al-Aqeedat tribe. The clan rejects the false claim that the United States were the ones who supported and liberated the members of the clans from ISIS.
Seven years ago, a massacre committed by ISIS killed hundreds of al-Shaitat individuals.
A statement was delivered by Sheikh Badr Al-Hamoud Al-Othman, one of the dignitaries of the al-Shaitat clan and the Aqeedat tribe in Al-Muhasan town in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, and other dignitaries: Sheikhs Abdul Karim al-Hafl, Abdul-Karim al-Athal al-Dandal, Muhannad al-Hamoud, Ahmed al-Ashban Mujawda, and Fawaz al-Wakaa.
The statement said, "We, in the al-Shaitat clan, represent our firm position in the fight against terrorism and indignity which the West has inflicted upon us through its support for terrorist organizations, especially ISIS and the 'SDF'."
