Tehran prepared to advise Oman about combating terrorism
Top Iranian military official has expressed his country's readiness to share its expertise in the field of combating terrorism with Oman.
On Monday, General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri revealed that Iran "held meetings with officials of the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and some misunderstandings were resolved."
The official Iranian TV quoted Bagheri, during his meeting in Tehran with the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning in the Omani Armed Forces, Brigadier General Abdulaziz al-Mandhari, in Iran as saying that Tehran is prepared to share its experiences in the field of combating terrorism with the Omani armed forces.
"The meeting aims to expand military and international relations and cooperation between the two countries," he added.
He also said, "The presence of foreign armies in the region leads to insecurity... The Americans and Europeans believe that the only way to stay in the region is to create divisions and conspiracies between the countries of the region."
It is noteworthy that the security dialogue session between Saudi Arabia and Iran was concluded with the participation of experts from both sides today, Monday, in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
