Tension in Al-Naqab prison, occupation forces raid prisoners sections
The Palestinian Prisoners Club (PPC) confirms that the Israeli occupation forces are raiding a number of sections of Palestinian prisoners in the Al-Naqab Prison.
The Palestinian Prisoners' Club (PPC) said on Wednesday, that "a state of tension prevails in the Al-Naqab prison after occupation forces raided a number of prisoners' sections."
The PPC confirmed that "the Al-Naqab prison administration has cut off the electricity to the sections that have been raided and imposed double isolation on prisoners," noting that "the campaign in the Al-Naqab prison is an attempt to further abuse the prisoners in response to their recent escalatory resistant steps."
The prisoners continued implementing their preliminary steps approved by the Prisoner Movement Emergency Committee. The steps involved refraining from going out to the so-called "security check" and returning meals. Monday and Wednesday were the days set to implement these steps.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club had announced that Palestinian prisoners across all Israeli prisons and detention centers will begin returning meals as part of a series of escalation measures that could lead up to an open hunger strike.
The club said that the Prisoner Movement Emergency Committee affirmed its “readiness to confront any attack that the prison administration might commit,” stressing that “all threats, starting with storming sections and using repression units,” will not discourage Palestinian prisoners from continuing in their struggle.
It is worth noting that the number of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons reached about 4550 in total, including 31 female prisoners, 175 minors, and 735 administrative prisoners.
