Testimonies of liberated Palestinian women to Al Mayadeen
Liberated Palestinian prisoner Walaa Tanja says she owes her freedom to God and the Resistance.
Shortly after being liberated as part of the temporary truce enforced by the Resistance, a number of formerly imprisoned Palestenian women made short statements to Al Mayadeen expressing their sour-sweet felicity of liberation and offering an insight into the cruel conditions in Israeli prisons.
Rawan Abu Ziyadeh told Al Mayadeen that Palestinian female prisoners are subjected to severe violations in Israeli prisons.
"[However,] we were sure that we would be liberated [at some point] after getting arrested," she said.
"Agonizing pain has set in considering the loss of a significant number of martyrs, particularly in Gaza," Abu Ziyadeh added.

On her part, liberated prisoner Falastin Farid Najm told Al Mayadeen, "Our feeling of freedom is indescribable, and were it not for our Resistance in Gaza, we wouldn't be among our people now."
"Gaza, the resilient Resistance, if we thanked it every day, it wouldn't suffice," she added.
"We celebrate our freedom despite all the occupation's threats," she said, knowing that the Israeli occupation issued orders to avoid all forms of festivities following the Palestinian prisoners' release.

Earlier, Israeli occupation authorities said 14 Israeli captives being held in the Gaza Strip would be released on Saturday in exchange for 42 Palestinian women and children on the second day of a truce deal.
The agreement stipulates an exchange ratio of three to one, with 42 Palestinian prisoners being released and 14 Israeli captives handed over, as per an Israeli official source.
On the first day of the truce, al-Qassam Brigades and the Palestinian Resistance factions in Gaza freed 39 female and underage male prisoners from Israeli occupation prisons, as part of the first batch of the truce agreement and the prisoner exchange deal, which began on Friday and will continue for four days.
Earlier today, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that the first 13 Israeli captives released have been assessed to be in good condition, affirming that they have received good treatment while they were held captive.
The Schneider Children's Medical Center in "Petah Tikva" was cited as saying it had admitted four released women and four children who were held captive in Gaza and they have been reported to be in good condition.
They are staying in a “dedicated and separate complex surrounded by medical and psycho-social teams," the Hospital added.
The other five captives were admitted to the Wolfson Medical Center in the city of Holon and have also been reported to be in stable condition.
