Three people were killed and seven others injured in a series of US airstrikes across multiple regions in Yemen on Saturday, according to Al Mayadeen's correspondent. The escalation marks a continuation of US military operations in the country amid rising regional tensions.
The airstrikes targeted key locations in Sanaa, Hodeidah, and Ma’rib, as part of the aggression by US-led coalition forces. According to reports, a series of coordinated raids struck infrastructure and populated areas across these regions.
Multiple raids on Sanaa
In Sanaa, five airstrikes hit September 21 Park, while four more struck the al-Hafa area in the al-Sabeen district. Additional raids were reported in the al-Nahda neighborhood and the Majel al-Dama cemetery located in the Al-Safiyah district.
These strikes included civilian sites, with parks and cemeteries among the targeted areas, raising concerns about potential violations of international law and the safety of non-combatants.
The air raids extended to surrounding districts, with three airstrikes on Bani Hashish, two on the Dharwan area in Hamdan, and two others on al-Hisn in Khawlan. Further raids hit al-Haymah and Bani Matar districts.
In Hodeidah, Kamaran Island was targeted with three strikes. The Hodeidah International Port and Airport sustained 13 additional airstrikes, underscoring the intensity of the campaign. One airstrike also struck the Sirwah district in Ma’rib.

The renewed US military aggression on Yemen follows the resumption of operations in solidarity with the Palestinian people after "Israel’s" latest offensive against the Gaza Strip. The strikes come amid a broader regional realignment, as the war on Gaza draws international attention.
Moreover, a UN spokesman said on Saturday that Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is "gravely concerned" about American airstrikes in Yemen after Yemeni authorities reported the attacks killed approximately 80 people and wounded 150 others.
The UN Secretary-General is "gravely concerned about the air strikes conducted by the United States over the course of 17 and 18 April in and around Yemen's port of Ras Issa, which reportedly resulted in scores of civilian casualties, including five humanitarian workers injured," UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric announced.
