TikTok bidders talk directly with White House, not ByteDance: Axios
Trump has revealed negotiating with many people about purchasing TikTok and that a decision on the app's future would likely be made in February.

According to a Friday report by Axios, parties interested in purchasing TikTok are speaking directly with the White House rather than its Chinese owner ByteDance.
TikTok's future has been uncertain since January 19, when a regulation mandating ByteDance to sell it on national security grounds or risk a ban went into force.
After taking office on January 20, President Donald Trump signed an executive order delaying the law's enforcement by 75 days.
Trump has indicated interest in the US government acquiring a part in the app, which roughly half of all Americans use.
The upheaval at TikTok has piqued the curiosity of numerous possible buyers, including former Los Angeles Dodgers owner Frank McCourt, who believes the fast-growing company may be worth up to $50 billion.
Trump has stated that he is negotiating with many people about purchasing TikTok and that a decision on the app's future would likely be made in February. He indicated on Thursday that TikTok's 75-day deadline may be extended.
