Top Iranian, Saudi defense officials tackle defense collaboration

The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, expressed the Iranian Armed Forces' readiness to enhance military cooperation with Saudi Arabia during a phone call with Saudi Arabian Minister of Defense Khalid bin Salman Al Saud.
The two reportedly tackled various topics of shared interest.
Expressing contentment with the progress of friendly ties between both nations, Bagheri conveyed appreciation to the Saudi Arabian government for hosting the special summit of Islamic country leaders. Additionally, Bagheri declared the preparedness of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran to enhance military cooperation with Saudi Arabia.
On his account, the Saudi defense minister expressed satisfaction with the increased collaboration between the armed forces of Iran and Saudi Arabia.
It is worth noting that the discussion also reportedly touched upon crucial matters concerning the Islamic world, among various other topics.

Muslim countries must arm Palestinians: Iranian President Raisi
A summit convened by Saudi Arabia within the Arab-Islamic community, on November 11, urged for the cessation of Israeli aggression on Gaza and dismissed the justification of Israeli actions against Palestinians as "self-defense".
During the summit, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi urged Muslim-majority nations to provide weaponry to Palestinians engaged in combat against the Israeli occupation forces.
"Muslim countries should arm the Palestinian people. Resistance is the only answer to Israeli violence. Countries around the world, including Muslim ones, should ensure the protection of the Palestinian people in the occupied territories," he said at the Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit in Riyadh.
The Israeli occupation's aggression on Gaza began on October 7 and has resulted in more than 15,000 martyrs, including over 6,150 children and more than 4,000 women.
