Iranian high-ranking military officials and a former president spoke to Al Mayadeen about negotiations with the United States and US President Donald Trump's plan for a Gaza "takeover".
Bagheri: Trump's plan is unfeasible
When asked about Trump's plans for the Gaza Strip, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, dismissed the scheme as "unfeasible," condemning it as a collection of "emotional words."
General Bagheri said that the Palestinian people will prove the unfeasibility of the plan.
Trump stated that he wants the US to "own" the Gaza Strip and relocate Palestinians elsewhere, effectively advocating for the ethnic cleansing of its population and the occupation of the territory.

Mousavi: Negotiations under maximum pressure are irrational
Meanwhile, the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Army, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, told Al Mayadeen that "no rational person would accept negotiations under pressure and sanctions."
Earlier, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, denounced "bullying tactics" employed by other countries, a day after Trump had threatened Tehran with military action.
"The insistence of some bullying governments on negotiations is not to resolve issues ... Talks for them are a pathway to have new demands, it is not only about Iran's nuclear issue ... Iran will definitely not accept their expectations," he underscored.
"They are bringing up new demands that certainly will not be accepted by Iran, like our defence capabilities, missile range and international influence," Sayyed Khamenei was quoted as saying.
In a related context, former President Hassan Rouhani told Al Mayadeen that the US administration has "failed to achieve its political and international objectives" against Iran.
