Top Yemeni official: Yemen maintains its right to defend itself against any dangers
The Foreign Minister of Sanaa government, Hisham Sharaf, slams the statements of the UAE delegate to the United Nations as false and a display of crocodile tears.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sanaa government, Hisham Sharaf, said that "the statements of the UAE delegate to the United Nations and her reference to her country's need for US support are 'a play', just like the false statements made before the international community for sympathy.
Sharaf added, "The statements of the UAE delegate are an attempt to pre-empt any international investigation that will hold the aggression's warplanes responsible for the killing and wounding of more than 300 people as a result of targeting the reserve prison in Saada."
He added, "We remind the delegate that her country was the one who got engaged in an absurd war with the desire to appear as a small Sparta, driven by the former US Secretary of War James Mattis."
Sharaf explained that the Emirati rulers have the illusion of occupying the Yemeni lands and islands, with a desire for hegemony and arrogance based on their financial resources.
He added that Sanaa tried not to include the UAE within the scope of its targets after it announced its withdrawal from the intervention in Yemen several times.
However, the UAE's attempt to impose a new political and military reality on the Yemeni arena made it imperative for Sanaa to take the appropriate response, he explained.
He stressed that "Sanaa, with its defensive forces and all its military capabilities, reserves the right to defend Yemen and Yemenis against any sources of danger."

The Minister called on the "ruling authorities in Abu Dhabi and Riyadh not to be tempted by the allies' promises of support," and pursue instead a path of peace and stay away from "the possibility of ruling Yemen."
Sharaf affirmed that Yemen is willing to hold all its people, as long as they are all willing to serve the country and the people, to move toward a promising future, away from serving foreign agendas.
The head of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, Muhammad Abd Al-Salam, said yesterday, Wednesday, that the UAE "can only stand on its feet with US crutches and is begging for American support."
The Spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, wrote a tweet via Twitter, threatening the Dubai Expo.
"#Expo... With us, you could lose... we advise you to change your destination???" Saree said on Twitter.
The warning came after the Yemeni Minister of Health, Taha Al-Mutawakel, announced last Tuesday that "the Saudi coalition committed a series of crimes during January, which brutally claimed the lives of 150 civilians and wounded 350 others.
