Trump allies say Biden trying to ignite WWIII over ATACMS decision
Biden’s reported decision sparked immediate criticism, with several Trump supporters taking to X to accuse him of escalating the conflict in his final months in office.
Backers of US President-elect Donald Trump took to social media on Sunday to voice their reactions to reports that President Joe Biden had authorized Ukraine to use US-supplied Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles for strikes within Russian territory.
"As President Trump has said on the campaign trail, he is the only person who can bring both sides together in order to negotiate peace, and work towards ending the war and stopping the killing," Trump Communications Director Steven Cheung told Newsweek.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, speaking to RBC TV, reiterated President Vladimir Putin’s stance on potential US long-range missile strikes within Russia.
Putin had warned that such a decision would be regarded as direct involvement by the United States and other NATO countries, fundamentally altering "the very nature of the conflict."
Biden’s reported decision sparked immediate criticism, with several Trump supporters taking to X to accuse him of escalating the conflict in his final months in office, highlighting Trump’s campaign pledge to bring an end to the war.
Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican from Georgia and a vocal Trump ally, condemned Biden’s move, stating, "On his way out of office, Joe Biden is dangerously trying to start WWIII by authorizing Ukraine the use of U.S. long range missiles into Russia."
She pointed out that "the American people gave a mandate on Nov 5th against these exact America last decisions and do NOT want to fund or fight foreign wars. We want to fix our own problems."
"Enough of this, it must stop."

All-In Podcast co-host David Sacks also weighed in, writing, "President Trump won a clear mandate to end the war in Ukraine. So what does Biden do in his final two months in office? Massively escalate it."
"Is his goal to hand Trump the worst situation possible?" he added.

On his part, Elon Musk, CEO of X, echoed similar sentiments by retweeting a post by Senator Mike Lee, a Republican from Utah, who wrote, "Libs love war. War facilitates bigger government," with the tech mogul adding, "True".

While Trump has yet to issue a statement on the matter, his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., expressed outrage, writing, "The Military Industrial Complex seems to want to make sure they get World War 3 going before my father has a chance to create peace and save lives."
"Gotta lock in those $Trillions. Life be damned!!! Imbeciles!"

Moreover, Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, also criticized the decision, posting, "Biden is trying to start World War 3. This is pathological and totally insane. US weaponry should NOT be used to fire into the interior of Russia! Imagine if Russia supplied missiles to fire into America!"

Biden's reported approval of Ukraine's use of American long-range missiles against military targets within Russia would represent a significant policy shift long sought by Kiev
Reports from The New York Times and The Washington Post, based on unnamed sources, first highlighted the change, linking it to the alleged of troops from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to support Russia's war efforts.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly urged Washington to authorize the use of the ATACMS for strikes inside Russia.
According to US media reports, the Biden administration's shift was prompted by intelligence indicating that approximately 10,000 DPRK troops are being reportedly deployed to Russia.
US officials had previously expressed reservations about approving ATACMS for Ukraine, citing limited impact on the battlefield and concerns over depleting American stockpiles of the missiles.
