Trump names JD Vance as running mate for 2024 presidential race

Former US President Donald Trump announced via social media platform Truth on Monday that he has chosen Republican US Senator JD Vance as his running mate for the 2024 presidential race.
"After lengthy deliberation and thought, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited to assume the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator J.D. Vance of the Great State of Ohio," Trump said.

Trump said that Vance's campaign efforts will concentrate on workers and farmers in states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Minnesota.
The announcement comes during the Republican National Convention, where delegates from 56 states are expected to confirm Trump and Vance as the party’s 2024 ticket.
According to reports, various speakers will be speaking at the event, including Trump Jr., model Amber Rose, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and UFC chief Dana White.
Each day of the convention will feature a unique theme inspired by Trump’s "Make America Great Again" slogan. Monday’s theme is "Make America Wealthy Once Again."
