Trump to move court case to federal court, attorney says
The case is investigating Trump's phone discussion with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in January 2021, just after it was revealed that Trump had lost the state to Joe Biden.
Donald Trump may attempt to move his election interference case to a federal court from the Georgia-state court, Sputnik reported citing a court document.
"President Trump hereby notifies the Court that he may seek removal of his prosecution to federal court," Trump's attorney Steven Sadow said in a court filing.
According to Sadow, Trump must file a "notice of removal" within 30 days of his arraignment on August 31.

It was reported back in August that former Justice Department officer Jeffrey Clark, who was accused alongside Donald Trump in the Georgia election case, has filed a motion to transfer the case to federal court.
The probe is investigating Trump's phone discussion with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in January 2021, just after it was revealed that Trump had lost the state to Joe Biden. Trump allegedly requested fellow Republican Raffensperger to redo the vote count.
