Trump: Biden knew all about the Mar-a-Lago raid beforehand
Trump's assertions directly contradict the White House's previous claims that Biden was in the dark regarding the FBI's raid on the GOP figure's Florida residence.
Former US President Donald Trump claimed that his Democratic rival and incumbent President Joe Biden knew all about Monday's FBI raid of his Mar-a-Lago residence, despite that the White House contended that he was not aware.
"Biden knew all about this, just like he knew all about Hunter’s deals,'" Trump wrote on Truth Social, Fox News reported.
On Tuesday, the White House said that Biden was not given advance notice of a raid on Trump's home, emphasizing that the justice department conducts investigations independently.
"The president was not briefed, was not aware of it," White House Spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters. "No one at the White House was given a heads-up."

On Monday, Trump said his Mar-A-Lago residence in Florida was being "raided" by FBI agents in what he called an act of "prosecutorial misconduct".
The FBI declined to comment on whether the search was happening or what it might be for, and Trump did not indicate why federal agents were at his home.
"These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents," Trump said in a statement posted on his Truth Social network.
Aerial footage of Mar-a-Lago showed police cars outside the property.
"It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don't want me to run for President in 2024," said the former president, who was not present during the raid, according to The New York Times.
"Such an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries. Sadly, America has now become one of those countries," Trump said, adding: "They even broke into my safe!"
The search came after the justice department grew concerned that Trump was withholding classified documents and materials which were unlawfully kept at the resort.
The raid would have likely required and gained the approval of higher officials in the justice department, according to former officials and FBI agents, according to Merrick Garland, an attorney general, and Christopher Wray, the Trump-appointed FBI director.
