Trump: US ‘is going to hell’
During an interview with Fox News, Trump stresses that “the US needs a strong leader to lead the nation out of the crisis.”
In the last episode of the war of words, former US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox News that the United States is "on its way to hell" and requires strong leadership.
"Our country is going to hell. We are a nation in decline," he pointed out. "This country is a mess. The way it’s going right now it’s not going to survive," Trump said.
During the interview, Trump stressed that “the US needs a strong leader to lead the nation out of the crisis.”
"Forget politics, and the Republican and the Democrat stuff, and the radical left and everything else. I want somebody that’s a great leader. I want somebody that can stand toe to toe with President Xi of China," he added.
Earlier this month, Trump responded to Biden by calling the president an "enemy of the state" at a Saturday rally in Pennsylvania, after US President Joe Biden’s speech condemning the so-called MAGA ideology.
On September 2, Biden bashed his Republican nemesis and MAGA Republicans, warning that they “pose a clear and present danger” to US democracy.
"MAGA forces are determined to take this country backward. Backward to an America where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry who you love," he stated.
Biden's speech came just days after he slammed the "MAGA philosophy", which he called "semi-fascism."
Trump, who is being investigated for breaching multiple federal laws, bashed his successor at a rally in support of Republican candidates in November's midterm elections in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
He blamed Biden for having “vilified” the 71 million voters who backed the ex-president in 2020 as “threats to democracy and as enemies of the state”.
“He's an enemy of the state if you want to know the truth. The enemy of the state is him and the group that control him which is circling around him,” Trump said.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he also stated that Biden is “cognitively impaired and in no condition to lead our country.”
Trump and Biden have been engaged in a war of words, bashing each other on different occasions.
This comes as Americans are feeling quite pessimistic about the future of the country, as almost half of them think that a civil war could break out soon
