Former US President Donald Trump reveals that "Israel" controlled the Congress in the US nearly 10 years ago, but it is no longer the case.

"The biggest change I've seen in Congress is Israel literally owned the Congress, do you understand that? 10 years ago 15 years ago, and it was so powerful and today it's almost the opposite," Donald Trump said in the interview.
The former US president stated that the situation has now changed and lawmakers like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar, who he says hate Israel, control Congress.
Trump criticized Ilhan Omar, Ocasio-Cortez, and other members of the so-called "progressive Democratic legislature squad" in the US Congress who have firm positions against pro-Israel policy.
The former US president said, "Israel had such power, rightfully, over Congress, and now it does not."
The announcer told Trump that the Israelis are excited about his re-election, and are "thankful for his role in the normalization agreements." Trump joked, "I was affectionately told I could run for prime minister of Israel and win very easily. They like me over there," adding that "It’s incredible that I didn’t get the kind of a vote from Jewish people that you would think I would get. Jewish people in this country — many of them do not like Israel."
Trump added that the interviewer should take a “Look at The New York Times. The New York Times is vicious against Israel, and it’s just a terrible thing to watch,” he added.
For its part, the official Israeli channel Kan stated that the Jewish Democratic Organization in America condemned Trump's statements, adding that "the former president continues to promote anti-Semitic conspiracy theories about the so-called Israeli control of the US Congress."
Israel does not control Congress. U.S. support for Israel remains strong and bipartisan. As ADL has long said, these types of remarks play into tropes about “Jewish control” of government and are unacceptable. https://t.co/TL0ERTy06Fhttps://t.co/paD2W3dSEW

The pro "Israel" Anti-Defamation League also condemned Trump's comments, saying that "these types of remarks play into tropes about 'Jewish control' of government and are unacceptable."
