Trump's indictment spells trouble for Biden's political dreams
Former Press Secretary Jen Psaki suggests to the White House to "keep your head down" and don't "feed into the politics of this."
"I'm not going to talk about the Trump indictment," President Joe Biden said to multiple reporters shouting questions on Friday. "I have no comment on Trump." However, Biden has recently accused Trump of fueling an "extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic."
So far, the White House has not released any formal statements regarding the indictment of former US president Donald Trump who argued that it was "political persecution and election interference," after claiming that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg was "doing Joe Biden's dirty work."
Former Press Secretary Jen Psaki suggested to the White House to "keep your head down" and don't "feed into the politics of this." Her successor, Karine Jean-Pierre, has been silent on the matter.
As Biden is expected to speak on the economic growth agenda of the US on Monday, Trump is anticipated to have his fingerprints and mugshot taken for his arraignment on Tuesday.
MAGA supporters flocked to New York and his biggest rival-to-be Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was one of them.
Speaking of rivals, Biden confidently expressed that he would be "very fortunate" in the next election "if I had that same man running against me," referring to Trump, as he begins to amp up health insurance reforms and social program protections to gain more voters.
An 'unconstitutional witch hunt'
Biden wasn't informed, or as Jean-Pierre put it, "was not given a heads-up” of Trump's indictment until his chief of staff Jeff Zients relayed it to him.
Trump's attorney Joe Tacopina told ABC News that Trump will not be handcuffed as he answers questions in court next week, in agreement with Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg.
Even former Vice President of the United States Mike Pence on Friday had to add his two cents in, saying the indictment spreads a “terrible” message to the world as an example for the US justice system.
The indictment decision itself is causing a drift in American society at home and abroad. After Trump called the decision a "witch hunt", Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene echoed the term over Twitter in support.
I’m going to New York on Tuesday.

We MUST protest the unconstitutional WITCH HUNT!
The Manhattan District Attorney's Office filed a lawsuit against Trump, and its main focus is a $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels, an adult film actress who claimed she had an affair with Trump. He has denied the relationship.
It is worth noting that the former President is the first US president to ever face criminal charges.
