Turkish aggression leaves 7 power stations in N. Syria out of service
The Turkish aggression in Syria has caused a complete power outage in 6 cities and more than 800 villages in northeastern Syria.
In Northeastern Syria, seven power stations have gone out of service due to Turkish airstrikes in the past 24 hours as reported by Al Mayadeen's correspondent earlier this morning.
In detail, our correspondent in Syria stated that Turkey launched two air raids targeting electricity production and conversion stations in the city of Ayn al-Arab in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
In Ayn Issa, in the eastern rural areas of Raqqa and Qamishli in northern Hasakah, the Turkish shelling targeting the power station has cut off power to more than 60% of the city and its eastern rural areas.
The shelling also targeted two power conversion stations in Amuda and Qahtaniyah cities in northern Hasakah. Before that, Derbasiyah, north of Hasakah, was subjected to Turkish shelling, causing damage to its power station, and resulting in a power outage.
During the night, Turkey shelled the Swedish gas station in the countryside of Malikiyah, also in the northeast of Syria.
According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent, the Swedish station included dozens of electricity converter stations, leading to a cut-off of gas supplies to electricity production stations in northeastern Syria, areas currently still controlled by the SDF.
The shelling caused a complete power outage in the six cities and more than 800 villages affiliated with them.
