Turkish FM opposes displacement of Palestinians to Egypt
Turkish foreign minister repeats one more time that they are inviting "Israel" to comply with international law.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated on Saturday that his country opposes the forced displacement of Palestinians to Egypt and that it is crucial to prevent additional civilian casualties in the area as tensions between Palestine and "Israel" continue to escalate.
"It is necessary to avoid civilian casualties. We see that some countries are trying to present arbitrary repressions of Israel in Gaza as a justified intervention, Such a distorted and inhumane approach leads only to increasing violence and the death of innocent people. I repeat once again that we are inviting Israel to comply with international law. We are against the displacement of Palestinians. We will never approve of the policy of expulsion to Egypt," Fidan said at the press conference with Sameh Shoukry, his Egyptian counterpart, in Cairo.
The minister went on to explain that it was crucial to prevent the crisis from spreading and that Ankara has spoken with all of the neighboring nations about it.
On October 13, the Israeli occupation entity said in a statement that 1.1 million people living in northern Gaza must evacuate within the next 24 hours, hinting at plans to start a much-feared ground invasion of the devastated Strip that has been under nonstop bombing since last Saturday. The UN requested "Israel" to revoke the order, stating that such a large-scale displacement would inevitably have a negative humanitarian impact.
The Israeli occupation woke up at dawn Saturday to a sudden and widespread attack launched by the Palestinian Resistance into Gaza Envelope settlements, successfully taking Israeli occupation forces and illegal settlers captive while causing hundreds of fatalities among them, under an Operation dubbed Al-Aqsa Flood, in a huge intelligence flop. Hours after the start of the operation, Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed in a recorded statement that "Israel" is "at war", adding that Hamas initiated "a surprise attack."
On October 9, the Israeli security minister Yoav Gallant, according to GLZ Radio, ordered to cut off electricity, water, and food from Gaza in the aftermath of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
Thousands of people have been injured as a result of the escalation, according to reports from both "Israel" and Palestine, which total over 1,000 deaths.
