Two Israeli soldiers killed in Gaza, ground incursion toll reaches 158
The Israeli occupation military says four of its troops were seriously injured during Gaza battles on Monday.
The Israel occupation military confirmed that two of its troops were killed in battles in southern Gaza, bringing the total death toll of its troops since the start of the ground incursion into the Strip to 158.
The occupation military identified the killed troops as Staff Sgt. (res.) Elisha Yehonatan Lober, 24, of the 179th Reserve Armored Brigade’s 8104th Battalion, and Sgt. First Class (res.) Joseph Yosef Gitarts, 25, of the 179th Reserve Armored Brigade’s 7029th Battalion.
With Lober and Gitarts' killing, the total number of Israeli occupation soldiers killed since October 7 now stands at 491.
In addition, the IOF announced that four of its troops were seriously injured during Gaza battles on Monday - two soldiers of the 7th Armored Brigade’s 82nd Battalion and an officer in the 75th Battalion in southern Gaza battles, as well as a reservist of the 646th Brigade’s 6646th Battalion in northern Gaza.
