Palestinian journalist Fuad Abu Khamash was martyred in an Israeli occupation airstrike on Wednesday evening. The targeted attack occurred near Salah al-Din Street in the central Gaza Strip, where he was with a group of Palestinian citizens.

In addition to his role as a journalist, Abu Khamash also served as a volunteer member of the Palestinian Red Crescent teams, who announced his martyrdom after the Israeli airstrike that targeted an ambulance affiliated with the medical organization.

The Government Media Office in Gaza has officially confirmed the martyrdom of journalists Badir and Abu Khamash due to Israeli airstrikes and ongoing aggression.

Several Palestinian journalists and media outlets expressed profound sorrow over the martyrdom of their colleagues, highlighting the deliberate targeting of media crews by the occupation forces. This brutal aggression underscores the occupation's determination to silence Palestinian journalists, with the apparent intent to obscure the truth.

The recent martyrdom of journalists adds to a grim tally, bringing the toll of martyred journalists in the Gaza Strip to 113 since the onset of the ongoing Israeli aggression, now entering its 97th day. The occupation's relentless targeting of media crews and journalists in the Gaza Strip appears to be a deliberate effort aimed at hiding facts and concealing the true face of the occupation.

Journalists in the Gaza Strip face significant risks while attempting to cover the ongoing aggression, including Israeli airstrikes, communication disruptions, shortages of supplies, and widespread power outages.

In a related context, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported a rise in casualties resulting from the Israeli aggression on the area. The current count stands at 23,357 martyrs, as recorded in hospitals, with an additional 59,410 wounded people.
