Two women killed, many wounded in Israeli strike on South Lebanon
An Israeli airstrike results in the destruction of a multi-story building in the southern Lebanese town of Jennata.
Two Lebanese women were killed and 14 people were wounded, some critically, in an Israeli air aggression late Thursday that targeted a building in the town of Jennata near Tyre city, southern Lebanon.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the casualty toll is not final.
Rescue teams and paramedics remain on site looking for martyrs and survivors under the rubble.
Directly following the attack on the building, Israeli media cautioned that the entity must anticipate a Hezbollah retaliation, warning that the degree of the Resistance's response might not be predictable, citing the operations conducted in the past two days.

Hezbollah steps up retaliation
Among a series of other operations on Thursday, Hezbollah carried out what was described by the Israeli occupation as the largest attack since October 7, which came as part of the Resistance's response to the Israeli assassination of one of its leaders and the continued attacks on Lebanese towns and civilians.
Israeli media reported that the "unprecedented" attack involved 150 rockets, drones, and anti-tank missiles and that the operation lasted half an hour as Israeli targets were being hit in northern occupied Palestine.
In a statement, the Resistance confirmed launching a joint missile and drone attack, hitting six barracks and military sites including Zawara'ah depots, Kela'a barracks, Yoav barracks, Katsafya base, Nafah base, and an IOF battalion in Beit Hillel using Grad and Falaq missiles.

Simultaneously, using one-way drones, the Resistance struck the Dado base (Northern Region Command HQ), Mishar base (Main Intelligence HQ responsible for assassinations), and Katsafya barracks (7th Armored Brigade under Golan Division 210). All hits were confirmed successful.
Shortly following the complex operation, Hezbollah launched a second combined attack; using one-way drones to target the the Katsafya barracks and the remaining intelligence centers in the Mishar base, achieving precise hits.
During ongoing operations, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth confirmed that Hezbollah's strikes since last weekend not only demonstrated the strength of the Resistance's precision weapons amassed since the 2006 war, but also revealed their calculated priorities in selecting Israeli military targets.
