UK's Cameron calls for 'swift', 'transparent' probe into Rafah attack
Following the Israeli massacre in Rafah, the UK foreign minister labels the scenes coming out of the area classified as a "safe zone" by "Israel" as "deeply distressing".
An investigation by the Israeli occupation forces into the Rafah airstrikes must be "swift, comprehensive and transparent," British Foreign Minister David Cameron said today, further urging for a "pause in fighting" in Gaza.
In a post on X, he said: "Deeply distressing scenes following the air strikes in Rafah this weekend. The IDF's investigation must be swift, comprehensive, and transparent."

'Israel' committed gruesome massacre in Rafah alleged 'safe zone'
More than 40 Palestinians have been killed and dozens injured by the Israeli occupation forces massacre against Rafah on the night of May 26, the Civil Defense in Gaza said on May 27.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent said that it was hard to determine the final number of Palestinians killed by the IOF in that massacre, as due to the magnitude of the explosion, some people were lost and others were seriously injured amid a collapsing health system in the Gaza Strip.
Our correspondent added that hospitals in Rafah have completely collapsed and people are now relying on field hospitals that cannot provide the required medical services for the injured Palestinians.
Most of those who were killed in the Rafah massacre were displaced Palestinians from Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, he said.
On the evening of May 26, Israeli occupation forces committed a new massacre against dozens of displaced persons by bombing their tents set up in UNRWA warehouses in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, an alleged safe zone.
The Government Media Office reported that the Israeli occupation committed a horrific massacre through the concentrated and deliberate bombing of a center for the forcibly displaced, established in UNRWA premises in the northwest of Rafah Governorate. The center was bombed with more than seven missiles and large bombs, each weighing more than 2000 pounds of explosives.
