UK should adopt realistic view in region, Palestine: Amir-Abdollahian
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian asserts that “the comprehensive support by the United States to Israel will escalate the war in the region."
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a telephone conversation with his British counterpart James Cleverly discussed bilateral ties and Gaza developments.
He stated "I recommend that the British government look at the developments in the region with a realistic approach," adding that in any approach, it should be noted that the Palestinian crisis stems from the Israeli regime's occupation.
Amir-Abdollahian added that from the point of view of international law, the people of the occupied country have the right to legitimate defense.
The Iranian foreign minister stressed that, within the framework of international law, the idea of proportionality should be considered in any war. In this regard, he expressed that the massacre of almost 9,000 Palestinian citizens in an openly announced act of vengeance and genocide by the Zionist regime is unacceptable by any measure.

In response to the British Foreign Minister's statements in support of "Israel" - while recommending that the UK look at the developments in the region with a realistic approach - he pointed out that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always fought the occupation phenomenon based on known principles and international laws.
He emphasized that the Israeli occupation's genocide in Gaza should be stopped immediately and humanitarian aid should be widely provided to Gaza.
Amir-Abdollahian called for "an immediate halt to the genocide committed by Israel against the people of Gaza and the introduction of humanitarian aid into the Strip on a large scale."
He pointed out that "the comprehensive support by the United States to Israel will escalate the war in the region."
'World is united against US, 'Israel' massacres in Gaza:'
Earlier on Thursday, Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) chief commander, Major General Hossein Salami, declared that the United States stands alone against a united world front amid its continuous support of "Israel’s" massacres in Gaza.
The bloody nature and past of US policies show now to the world more than any time before, Salami said as he portrayed the US, the UK, and “Israel” as "inseparable parts of an obvious conspiracy."
He further stressed that although they are actors in three separate geographical parts of the world, the US, the UK, and "Israel" act with collaborated and developed policies.
According to the chief commander, Palestine was occupied by the Zionists around 75 years ago through terror and crimes. He pointed out that "Israel" uses the spread of political ignorance to lure Muslim youths.
