Iran, Qatar tackle Israeli aggression on Gaza
Iran's Foreign Minister hails Qatar's unwavering support for the Palestinian people and expressed concerns about the unpredictable outcomes of the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, emphasized the importance of utilizing the remaining political opportunities to halt the Israeli aggression on Gaza during his meeting with Qatar's Emir, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha on Tuesday. He warned that if the situation escalates further, the repercussions could affect all parties involved.
Amir-Abdollahian commended Qatar's unwavering support for the Palestinian people and expressed concerns about the unpredictable outcomes of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, which is marked by Israeli war crimes supported by the United States and various European governments. He urged Islamic nations to collaborate and take concrete actions to halt Israeli crimes and alleviate the blockade on Gaza.
"As a result of the continuation of the Zionist regime's crimes against the defenseless people and the complete blockade of Gaza, we are gradually witnessing an increase in reactions and the escalation and expansion of the scope of conflicts in the region, and it is natural that the Resistance groups and movements will not remain silent in the face of all these crimes and the full support of the US to the Zionist regime," he added.
Emphasizing that the Resistance groups would not heed anyone's counsel, the Iranian Foreign Minister stressed the importance of utilizing the remaining political opportunities to halt the aggression. He cautioned that if the situation spirals out of control, no party will be immune from the repercussions.
In response, Al Thani requested Amir-Abdollahian to convey his warm regards to the leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Iranian President. He strongly condemned the ongoing atrocities committed by "Israel" against Palestinian civilians in Gaza, deeming them unacceptable and unbearable.
He pointed out that the widespread demonstrations against the Israeli entity occurring across various nations worldwide signify the global condemnation of these crimes.
Furthermore, Al Thani affirmed Qatar's commitment to continuing its initiatives aimed at putting an end to the current Israeli attacks on Gaza.
It is worth noting that the Iranian Foreign Minister traveled to Doha on Tuesday morning to engage in discussions regarding the situation in Gaza with Qatar's senior officials. This visit marks Amir-Abdollahian's second trip to the region, prompted by the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Palestine.
During this journey, the Iranian top diplomat's agenda includes negotiations and the sharing of perspectives on the Israeli regime's ongoing atrocities and the unfolding events in Palestine with Qatari authorities.
