Ukraine launched a total of ten cruise missiles toward the Sevastopol shipyard, resulting in damage to two ships that were undergoing repairs, as per Russia's Defense Ministry statement on Telegram.

The attack also reportedly involved three unmanned boats.

"Tonight, the Ukrainian armed forces conducted a strike against the shipyard named after Ordzhonikidze in the city of Sevastopol using ten cruise missiles and attacked a group of ships of the Black Sea Fleet during the movement in the sea using drone boats. Air defenses destroyed seven cruise missiles, and the Vasily Bykov patrol ship destroyed all drone boats. As a result of cruise missiles hitting the shipyard, two ships, which were in repair, were damaged," the statement said.

Concurrently, Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev confirmed that a fire erupted, and 24 individuals sustained injuries following a Ukrainian missile strike on the Sevastopol shipyard in Crimea.

Razvozhayev conveyed on Telegram that the fire occurred at a non-civilian facility, emphasizing that there was no risk to civilian populations. He also shared an image of himself in front of what seemed to be a vessel or port infrastructure engulfed in flames.

The shipyard, situated on the Crimean peninsula, is reportedly involved in the construction and repair of ships and submarines for the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

This comes shortly after the Russian Defense Ministry reported the destruction of four US-made fast assault boats, identified as Willard Sea Force vessels, carrying Ukrainian landing troops in the Black Sea.

This incident followed a similar event that occurred a week before, where the Russian Black Sea fleet reported the destruction of four boats transporting a total of 50 Ukrainian landing groups, comprising 50 individuals.

On September 2, Kiev attempted an attack on the Russian peninsula, when it sent out three drone boats to attack the Crimean Bridge. The Russian defenses neutralized all three Ukrainian semi-submersibles in the Black Sea.

Meanwhile, Russian air defense systems destroyed a drone on the territory of the Tver Region, the local government said on Wednesday, adding that there were no casualties.

"On September 13, an unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed by air defense forces of the Russian Defense Ministry on the territory of the Konakovo District of the Tver Region. There were no casualties. Emergency services are on site," the government wrote on Telegram.

It is worth noting that Ukraine's increased attacks on civilian infrastructure come as its long-awaited counteroffensive flounders on the frontline in areas of conflict, failing to achieve any notable advances past Russian defenses.
