Ukraine Is “Ready In Case of Escalation”
Commenting on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s statement about an alleged coup in Ukraine with the involvement of Moscow, Kremlin asserts that Russia never interferes in the affairs of other countries.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that his country is "fully prepared" for a possible military escalation with Russia, which is accused of "deploying new troops near the Ukrainian border."
“We are in full control of our borders and ready if there will be an escalation,” Zelensky stressed.
Zelensky said that a group of Russian and Ukrainians is planning to stage a coup d’etat in Ukraine next month and that the plotters are trying to enlist the help of the country’s richest man, Rinat Akhmetov.
“I believe [Akhmetov] is being dragged into the war against Ukraine,” Zelensky noted. “This will be a big mistake, because it is impossible to fight against the people, against the president elected by the people of Ukraine.”
Simultaneously, Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov commented on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s statement about an alleged coup in Ukraine with the involvement of Moscow. saying that Russia is never involved in interfering in affairs of other countries.
"Russia had no plans to get involved. Russia never does such things at all," Peskov added.

On Tuesday, Ukraine received two Coast Guard patrol boats from the US in order to "strengthen the efforts of the Ukrainian Navy in securing the country's water borders."
Russia held military drills in the Black Sea, south of Ukraine, on Wednesday, saying that increased NATO activity near its borders required it to sharpen the combat readiness of its conventional and nuclear forces.

Furthermore, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu said the need for Russia to further develop its armed forces was dictated by “the complicated military and political conditions in the world and the growing activity of NATO countries near Russia’s borders”, Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported.
Shoygu added that raising the armed forces’ capabilities, supporting the combat readiness of nuclear forces, and strengthening the potential of non-nuclear deterrence were among their priorities.
US paints frightening image on Ukraine situation using false info: SVR
The US State Department is spreading false information about Russia's alleged troop buildup for a military invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) said Monday.
"Recently, Washington officials have been actively intimidating the global community with Russia's alleged preparation for 'aggression' against Ukraine," the SVR said.
The apparatus also said incoming data shows that the United States has been bringing to its allies and partners "absolutely false information" regarding the concentration of forces on the territory of Russia for "a military invasion of Ukraine," the service added.
"These accusations are completely false," it asserted.
Kremlin: allegations of a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine are false
On Sunday, Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov slammed the United States for driving "hysteria" over a possible Russian invasion, after Western countries accused Moscow of amassing troops near the ex-Soviet country.
Peskov said on state television: "This hysteria is being whipped up artificially," adding that "those who have brought their armed forces from overseas are accusing us of unusual military activity on our own territory, that is, the United States."
