Ukraine's Energy Ministry has reported a "massive" ongoing attack targeting the country's power infrastructure, as waves of drones and missiles hit the capital, Kiev, early Tuesday.
"At the moment, a massive combined enemy attack on energy infrastructure facilities is underway," the ministry stated on Telegram.
Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed power and water outages in parts of the capital following the strikes. Powerful explosions were heard across the city, coinciding with nationwide air raid alerts.
Ukraine’s Air Force warned of an active missile threat across the country, including ballistic and Kinzhal missiles, as well as Shahed drones and cruise missiles. Kiev’s military administration confirmed air defenses were engaged and urged residents to remain in shelters.
Ukrainian drone strikes hit Russia’s Kuban region, injuring six
Krasnodar Territory Governor Veniamin Kondratyev confirmed on Tuesday that the region endured one of the most extensive and prolonged attacks by Ukrainian forces, injuring six people and damaging at least 20 homes across five municipalities.
"Overnight, Krasnodar region suffered one of the Kiev regime's most sustained and massive attacks," Kondratyev posted on Telegram.
The regional emergency response center earlier reported four casualties in Novorossiysk alone, with multiple apartment buildings and private homes hit by drone strikes.
A fire broke out on the roof of an apartment building in Tuapse during the overnight barrage, which firefighters have since contained. A nearby security guard was injured by shrapnel but declined hospitalization.
Damage assessment teams have been deployed across affected areas, and local authorities have been instructed to assist impacted residents. Kondratyev warned that the threat of further attacks remains.
