Ukrainian Parliament to prepare bill against Russia
The Ukrainian Parliament is set to prepare a bill on confiscation of Russian property in Ukraine.
Ukrainian parliament lawmakers will soon come up with a draft law on confiscation of all the Russian property in Ukraine, the chairperson of the legislature said on Monday.
"In the near future, the lawmakers plan to develop a bill on confiscation of all Russian property that is on the territory of our country," Ruslan Stefanchuk said, as quoted by the Parliament on its Telegram channel.
Last Thursday, Russia launched a special operation to demilitarize and "denazify" Ukraine, in response to requests from the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics for assistance in combating Ukrainian troops' aggression. The special operation is only targeting Ukrainian military facilities, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, and the civilian population is not at risk. Moscow has stated that it has no intention of occupying Ukraine.
