UN condemns attack on Iran police headquarters that killed 11
The UN Secretary-General's spokesperson, Stephane Dujarric, calls to bring the assailants of the terrorist group “Jaish al-Adl” to justice.
In a statement on Friday, Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for the UN secretary-general, decried the terrorist attack on Iran's Rask County police headquarters in the province of Sistan and Balouchestan.
“The United Nations strongly condemns the attack today on a police headquarters in Sistan and Baluchestan province, the Islamic Republic of Iran, for which the group “Jaish al-Adl” had claimed responsibility, reportedly resulting in at least 11 casualties,” Dujarric said as he urged to bring the assailants to justice.
Dujarric continued that “the UN expresses deep condolences to the bereaved families and the people and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It wishes a speedy recovery of the injured.”
Iran's ambassador and permanent representative to the UN, Amir Saeid Iravani, previously called on Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and current President of the Security Council José de la Gasca to condemn the attack.
Early this morning, US backed terrorists based in Pakistan crossed the border and attacked a local police headquarters in the Rask county. 11 police officers were martyred.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns such abhorrent and atrocious acts of terrorism, reiterating its unwavering commitment to ensuring that those responsible are brought to justice and held accountable,” he said, adding in a letter: “The Islamic Republic of Iran urgently calls on the Secretary-General and Security Council to condemn the attack unequivocally and in the strongest terms possible”.
The letter continued: “This appeal aligns with the Secretary-General's consistent and clear stance, as well as the established practice of the Security Council, which has consistently recognized and reaffirmed, through resolutions, terrorism as a grave threat to international peace and security.”
'Linked with global imperialism'
This comes after 11 police officers were killed and seven injured after a terrorist attack on a police post in southeastern Iran on Friday.
The Pakistan-based so-called Jaish-al-Adl terror group claimed responsibility for the attack.
In a short statement on Friday morning, the Iranian police spokesperson, General Saeed Montazer-al-Mahdi described the attack as "cowardly", considering it "blind" terror.
Iranian Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei vowed to bring the attackers to justice, as he sent condolences to the nation and the families of the martyrs.
"The enemies of Islamic Iran, who are shocked and enraged by the authority of our establishment, have once again used their mercenaries in terrorist groups to spill the blood of a number of border police soldiers who were engaged in providing security and peace to the people," he stated.
Mohseni-Ejei additionally urged provincial judiciary officials to take all necessary measures to arrest and serve justice to these "terrorists that are linked with global imperialism."
