UNIFIL says forces attacked by Israelis in southern Lebanon
The UNIFIL forces stationed in Southern Lebanon condemns the Israeli occupation forces' attack on the peacekeeping forces in the vicinity of Aitaroun.
The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) announced Saturday that the Israeli occupation forces opened fire on one of its patrols in the vicinity of the town of Aitaroun, southern Lebanon, at noon local time.
According to the UNIFIL, one of their vehicles was damaged by the Israeli occupation forces' gunfire, though it did not report any casualties.
حوالي الساعة الثانية عشرة من ظهر اليوم، تعرضت دورية تابعة لليونيفيل لنيران قوات الجيش الاسرائيلي في محيط عيترون، في جنوب لبنان.

"No soldiers were harmed," the statement read.
UNIFIL condemned the attack on the peacekeeping forces, which are "working diligently to reduce tensions and restore stability in southern Lebanon."
"We remind the parties strongly of their commitment to protect peacekeepers and avoid endangering the men and women working to restore stability," the statement concluded.
The attack on the peacekeeping forces is but another Israeli violation of the UN charter ad, the Rome Statute of the ICC, and customary international humanitarian law, wherein it has been engaging in the relentless killing of civilians in Gaza, bombing hospitals, schools, and places of worship, and killing journalists in Palestine and Lebanon alike.
This goes in line with the words of European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, who said in the early days of the aggression on Gaza that "Israel" was not following international law.
"Some of the actions [by Israel] — and the United Nations has already said it — cutting water, cutting electricity, cutting food to a mass of civilian people is against international law so yes, there are some actions that are not in accordance with international law," Borrel said in early October.
Even UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres highlighted in October that the Israeli occupation said: "I am deeply concerned about the clear violations of international humanitarian law that we are witnessing in Gaza," adding: "Let me be clear: No party to an armed conflict is above international humanitarian law."
Moreover, a panel of United Nations specialists earlier in the month asserted the growing evidence of genocidal provocation directed towards the Palestinian population, citing what they characterized as "grave violations" committed by "Israel."
"We are deeply disturbed by the failure of governments to heed our call and to achieve an immediate ceasefire," the group of UN experts said in a statement.
"We are also profoundly concerned about the support of certain governments for Israel's strategy of warfare against the besieged population of Gaza, and the failure of the international system to mobilize to prevent genocide."
Refusing to condemn 'Israel'
Since the start of the war on Gaza, the UN has systematically issued reports on the deteriorating situation in Gaza.
However, it fails to acknowledge the terrorist nature of the Israeli Occupation Forces.
The IOF's genocidal campaign has claimed the lives of thousands of civilians, including over a hundred UN personnel among the martyred.
On November 10, Gilad Erdan, "Israel's" Permanent Representative to the United Nations justified the killing of UN staffers by claiming "Many UNRWA workers in Gaza are themselves members of Hamas. The time has come to bust the myth of UN-supplied facts."
