US, UK 'opened hell gates upon themselves': Al-Qahoum to Al Mayadeen
Ali al-Qahoum tells Al Mayadeen that the US and UK now will bear the consequences of their aggression on Yemen and pay a heavy price.
A senior official in the Ansar Allah movement said on Sunday that the United States and Britain declared an open war on Yemen and will pay a heavy price for their aggression.
Talking to Al Mayadeen, Ali Al-Qahoum emphasized that the two aggressors must bear the consequences of the Yemeni retaliation and the country's strategic deterrence.
Commenting on the recent attacks carried out by the US and the UK, he noted that the strikes targeted sites already previously bombed, stressing that the attacks were not impactful and would not be so in the future.
Al-Qahoum pointed out that the battle is ongoing and open, and both countries will regret their aggression, confirming that Yemen is steadfast and will engage in "Promised Victory and Holy Jihad," referring to the title of the battle codenamed by Sanaa.

Regarding Yemen's role in supporting Gaza, al-Qahoum explained that Yemen, with its government, leadership, armed forces, military capabilities, and determined people, will continue the fight until victory.
In an address earlier this week, US President Joe Biden called Ansar Allah a "terrorist group" when asked if he was willing to designate them as such. The White House revealed on Friday that it is currently studying to re-designate the Yemeni party as a "terrorist organization", a label dropped in 2021 by Biden himself.
Al-Qahoum clarified that Biden's announcment to label Yemen as a "terrorist" entity and place it under Chapter VII of the UN Charter comes within the framework of the US and British aggression against Yemen.
He added that Washington's attempts to distort Yemen's position, as a state, leadership, people, and national consensus in support of Palestine and Gaza, will not succeed.

Addressing both the United States and the United Kingdom, al-Qahoum said, "With your aggression, you have opened the doors of hell upon yourselves."
He added that all their actions and aggression against Yemen will fail, and they will be confronted by Yemen with all the strength it possesses. He also emphasized that they will leave the region "humiliated and despaired," stressing that "Yemen will be their graveyard."
Foolish mistake
Earlier today, an American-British aggression targeted Jabal Jida in al-Luhayyah District in the coastal province of Hodeidah, western Yemen, the Yemeni news agency SABA, based in Sanaa, reported.
This aggression marked the third consecutive attack carried out by the United States and the United Kingdom since Friday dawn, with strikes targeting the capital Sanaa, Taiz, al-Hajja, and Hodeidah, during which 7 members of the Yemeni Armed Forces were martyred.
Commenting on the earlier aggressions, the Yemeni Supreme Political Council of the Sanaa government declared that now "all American and British interests have become legitimate targets for the Yemeni Armed Forces."
The leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi, earlier warned that "any American aggression against Yemen will not go unanswered," emphasizing that Sanaa is "ready for any confrontation with Washington."
In a speech on Sunday, Hezbollah's chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah described the US-UK aggression on Yemen as "reckless", stressing that US President Joe Biden will soon realize that the attack on Yemen was a "foolish mistake."
He explained that if Washington assumes the Yemenis will now stop their operations in support of Palestine, then "they don't know Yemen, and they don't know Yemenis."
"The Americans believe that Yemen will back down after the aggression, they are mistaken and ignorant," he said, warning that "the American aggression will lead to the continued targeting of Israeli ships and ships heading to the occupied entity."
