The United States has rushed to deny any participation or responsibility in the Israeli aggression on Iran but continues to assert "Israel's" "right to defend itself."

"Israel" just attacked Iran, and the United States urged Iran to exercise restraint and "break the cycle of violence."

Early on Saturday, "Israel" launched an aerial aggression on the nation, including the capital Tehran.

Following the attack, US National Security Council spokesman Sean Savett told reporters, "We urge Iran to cease its attacks on Israel so that this cycle of fighting can end without further escalation," given that Iran warned the Israeli regime of an immediate response and consequences should it attack its territory.

Savett went as far as claiming that it was within "Israel's" right to "defend itself" in response to the Iranian retaliatory operations even though it was the Israeli occupation that targeted Iranian officials in the Syrian capital of Damascus and assassinated Martyr Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, violating Iran's sovereignty.

He also stated that "Israel" struck military bases in Iran, contrary to "Iran's attack against Israel that targeted Israel's most populous city," although Iran only struck military assets, particularly the Nevatim, Hatzerim, and the Tel Nof Airbases.

Nevertheless, the US rushed to rid itself of responsibility for the attack, saying it did not partake but only aims "to accelerate diplomacy and de-escalate tensions in the Middle East region." A White House official also claimed that the US did not participate in any aggression against Iran, as cited by CNN.

Meanwhile, a senior US official told The Wall Street Journal that the United States was aware of the aggression and warned Iran beforehand.

In this context, while a Biden official urged the end of the tit-for-tat cycle between the Israeli occupation and Iran, he confirmed that the US remains fully committed to "Israel's" defense and would come to its aid if the Islamic Republic retaliates.

Israeli warplanes launched an aggression on Iran, as explosions were heard in several areas, including the capital Tehran, early on Saturday. Attacks renewed at around 4:30 am, as footage circulated of several successful interceptions near the capital.

The Israeli military command confirmed that its Air Force is conducting strikes on "military targets" in Iran. It also warned Israeli settlers, urging them to remain "alert and vigilant," in a statement.

Later, our correspondent said that Israeli warplanes attempted to target three bases in Tehran Province, which includes multiple counties. However, Iranian air defenses were able to intercept the incoming attack.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent noted that the sounds of explosions heard in Tehran were related to air defense activities, adding that the situation in the Iranian capital is completely stable.

Iranian air defenses successfully intercepted hostile targets aimed at military bases in the southern and western parts of Tehran Province, outside the capital city itself, our correspondent pointed out.

Sources confirmed to Al Mayadeen that the Imam Khomeini International Airport and the Mehrabad International Airport were not targeted.

Hours after the first attack was launched, another wave of aerial targets was detected over Iran, at around 4:30 am. Medium-range air defenses were activated to shoot down all hostile objects over Tehran, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.

Footage also circulated of successful interceptions over eastern areas in the Tehran province.

Later, informed sources revealed that multiple Israeli drones were launched toward Iranian air defense bases in eastern Tehran, only to be shot down.
