According to Pentagon Press Secretary Pat Ryder on Tuesday, US occupation forces in Iraq and Syria have been subjected to 9 attacks since January 4.
During a press briefing, Ryder was asked about attacks on US occupation forces in Syria and Iraq, to which he responded "Since January 4, there have been nine attacks," adding that in total they amount to 127 recent attacks, 52 of which took place in Iraq and 75 of which took place in Syria.
US occupation forces in Syria and Iraq have been subjected to at least 120 attacks since October 17 last year, a US military official told Al Mayadeen on Monday.
This comes after a field source revealed to Al Mayadeen earlier Monday that the US occupation base in the al-Omar oil field in easter Deir Ezzor in Syria was struck by 30 rockets launched from within Syria, achieving confirmed hits.
Our correspondent said the operation was in response to an earlier US attack that targeted a truck at the Al-Qaim/Al-Bukamal crossing on the border with Iraq.
On its part, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, the party with the most attacks on US and Israeli targets since the launch of the war on Gaza, announced, earlier today, targeting the US Rmelan occupation base in Syria using drones.
The Resistance group had declared since day one that all US presence in the region would be dealt with as legitimate targets, given Washington's key role in the ongoing genocide in Gaza. It also repeatedly conditioned stopping the operations on ending the war on Gaza.
The Resistance reiterated in all its statements that it "will continue to target enemy strongholds," promising that more is yet to come.
US coalition forces have violated Iraqi sovereignty and have even attacked the Iraqi Armed Forces and governmental institutions. The latest such incident came when the US killed a Popular Mobilization Force (PMF) official, martyr Hajj Moshtaq Taleb al-Saidi (Abou Taqwa).
Iraqi Resistance fighters and the Yemeni Armed Forces have worked relentlessly to target Israeli sites located hundreds of kilometers away from launching points. These factions have done so in support of Palestinian people who have been subjected to an unprecedented brutal aggression that has killed 23,084 Palestinians.
Although the Yemeni Armed Forces focused on targeting Israeli positions in the southernmost occupation city of "Eilat", they have recently switched to targets in the northernmost occupied territories. Concurrently, Iraqi Resistance forces have also targeted United States military bases and assets in Iraq and Syria, citing the US's active and unwavering support for the Israeli occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip.
