US forces targeted at Ain al-Assad base in Iraq
US forces at the Ain al-Assad base were targeted in the Anbar Governorate, western Iraq.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported on Wednesday that US forces were targeted at the Ain al-Assad base in Anbar Governorate, western Iraq.
A few days ago, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for its Resistance fighters targeting the US occupation base in al-Shaddadi, south of the Syrian city of al-Hasakah, revealing that the targeting was carried out by drones and that the base was directly hit.
In a statement, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq also claimed responsibility for targeting American forces at the Ain al-Assad base in western Iraq with drones and causing casualties.
The statement also declared that drones targeted the US occupation bases in Al-Tanf and the Rukban camp in Syria, confirming direct hits. Additionally, the American occupation base in the al-Omar oil field was reported to be among the locations affected.
An American military official revealed to Al Mayadeen that American and coalition forces have been subjected to at least 97 attacks in Iraq and Syria from October 17 to December 13.
Fox News correspondent Lucas Tomlinson later posted on X, saying, "U.S. forces attacked for the 100th time since October 17, the latest reportedly in Syria."

It is noteworthy that the Iraqi Resistance has targeted US occupation bases in Syria and Iraq dozens of times since it began its response to the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, using rockets, drones, and short-range missiles.
