US human rights record 'stained' by Israeli crimes in Gaza: Iran FM
Iran's foreign minister Amir-Abdollahian says that the United States is providing maximum support for the Israeli atrocities committed against the people of Gaza.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian affirmed on Monday that "Israel" is the only entity in the world that practices killing and racial segregation.
Amir-Abdollahian, participating in a meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, stated that "the US' human rights record is stained after all the atrocities experienced by the people in Gaza and the West Bank."

He also pointed out that the UN system has not taken practical steps "to confront the mass killings of women and young girls in Gaza," while the United States and Britain, he added, provide the utmost support for the horrendous crimes committed against the people of the Strip.
This comes as the Health Ministry in Gaza announced on Monday that the number of martyrs in the Strip due to the ongoing war since October 7 has risen to 29,782 Palestinians, while the number of wounded now stands at 70,043, as the aggression nears the 5-month mark.

Iran's top diplomat issued a letter to UN Chief Antonio Guterres last week, urging nations to stop cooperation with "Israel" to pressure the occupation and coerce it to end its aggression in Gaza, as Israeli officials announced public plans to invade Rafah, an area in southern Gaza bordering Egypt with an estimated 1.4 million population.
