US Navy Base in Bethesda on Lockdown
An anonymous caller stated there is a bomb nearby, prompting a quick response from the base.
Naval Support Activity Bethesda in the US state of Maryland is on lockdown over a bomb threat, the military base said in a tweet on Wednesday.
2/2 - 0925, 20OCT21: The base is on lockdown. All personnel should shelter in place. All gates are closed to non-emergency traffic. The public is asked to avoid the area.

The alert was issued on Twitter right after 9h00 stating that the base had received an anonymous call at 8h45.
The caller claimed that a bomb was left nearby, and the alert read "bomb threat to BLDG 10 and active shooter threat being investigated."
The public has to clear the area as security personnel respond to the scene.
