US plunders grain, hydrocarbon resources in Syria: Russia envoy
Russian Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN accuses the US of stealing Syrian resources in zones controlled by Western-backed terrorists.
The United States every day plunders Syrian hydrocarbons and grain in the territory not controlled by Damascus, which is occupied by pro-American militants in the northeast of the country, Russian Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dmitriy Polyanskiy stressed during a General Assembly meeting on Thursday, RIA Novosti reported.
Polyanskiy explained that "the only zones not controlled by the Syrian government are still only the Trans-Euphrates, where the American occupiers plunder grain and hydrocarbon resources on a daily basis, and the Idlib de-escalation zone in the north-west of the country, occupied by internationally recognized terrorists from Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham."
What is the US doing in Syria?
Besides being an occupation that backs armed groups for its own operations and agenda in the region, the US occupation forces continue to steal Syrian oil by smuggling it from their bases in Syria to their bases in Iraq.
Convoys of tens of vehicles, including tankers loaded with stolen oil from oil fields occupied by US forces in Syria, are frequently seen crossing toward northern Iraq, in addition to trucks loaded with military equipment.
The US interference in the crisis-stricken Middle Eastern country continues to be exposed, from occupation to military agenda and the theft of oil.

Syria re-gains sovereignty when no terrorists present
Earlier, Polyanskiy considered that Syria would regain its sovereignty when Western-trained terrorists seeking to topple the country’s legitimate government are no longer on its territory.
"However, nothing is preventing Syrian sovereignty from being respected in this matter, nothing other than the unwillingness of Western countries to stop supporting international terrorists, whom they trained and equipped to oust the legitimate Syrian authorities," Polyanskiy stressed.
